Recently, I’ve made a conscious decision to pause updates on my jewelry blog and social media channels. Instead, I’ve been diving deep into AI tools—especially things like Codex agents. The goal is simple: to free my hands and work smarter, not harder.
This isn't about chasing trends or hype. It's about real life.
I have a family to support and two kids to raise. Like many people, my days are filled with repetitive tasks—daily, weekly, monthly routines that take up a significant amount of my time and energy. If I want to grow my jewelry business and create better opportunities, I need leverage. That’s why I’m investing time now to learn how AI can handle part of my workload in the future.
On the jewelry side, I’ve also gained some clearer insights lately.
Here in our region—especially places like Ketang and Meilong, known as jewelry manufacturing hubs—factories generally don’t dare to sell fake products to us. Reputation matters a lot. If a supplier sells fake jewelry and we take it for testing, they could face serious consequences, including legal risks. It’s simply not worth it for them to sacrifice long-term trust for short-term profit.
What’s even more interesting is how affordable jewelry testing is here. A basic certification can cost as little as 5 RMB (yes, really), and in some cases, you can even subscribe monthly for bulk testing. It sounds funny, but it shows how accessible verification is.
In most cases, if you visit a jewelry stall in Ketang and the product is not genuine, the seller will tell you upfront. Transparency is part of how business works here.
Because this is a true source manufacturing region, pricing is extremely competitive. That’s one of the biggest advantages we can offer to overseas buyers looking for reliable wholesale jewelry suppliers in China.
But to truly succeed in this business, I know I can’t stay on the surface.
I have to get my hands dirty—learning step by step, from beginner to expert. Only by understanding the products, the supply chain, and the market can I do honest marketing, serve my customers well, and avoid costly mistakes when sourcing.
I believe this principle applies to anyone, in any industry.
Keep learning. Keep improving.
Have a great weekend.
